書家 中塚翠涛さんより
伝統と格式あるウエダジュエラーの新しいライン『Less is more.』の K-line。素材の美しさを引き立てる引き算の美学というコンセプトをお聞きして、書との共通点を感じました。余白を活かすことを心掛けて今回揮毫させていただきました。
もう一つは、著名な武者小路実篤氏のことば。 『天に星、地に花、人に愛』をイメージした H-line。 すでに作品となっていますが、新しいイメージを模索させていただきました。 愛らしく星のような梅の花。 その香りが風に運ばれてきたときの歓びを表現しました。

This brand-new line embodies the concept of "Less is more" among the varied traditional and dignified product lines of Uyeda Jeweller. I felt that there was something in common between Uyeda Jewellers concept and the spirit of calligraphy when I first heard the about the "Aesthetics of Subtraction" as a method to enhance the beauty of their materials, I wrote it to make the most of the spaces among characters.
H-line : Inspired by “Stars in the sky, flowers on the earth, and love for man”, this line is already complete as a piece of art. However, I saw a new image for the line this time - lovely and starry Japanese plum blossoms. A joy of feeling its scent swaying in wind is expressed in my artwork.

筆の弾力と墨の無限のグラデーションに美しさを見出し、和紙と墨のみならず、陶器、ガラス、映像など、幅広い手法で独自の表現を追求。
2016年12月にパリ・ルーブル美術館の地下展示会場「カルーゼル・デュ・ルーブル」で開催されたSociete Nationale des Beaux-Arts 2016では、約300m²の空間に書のインスタレーションを発表し、「金賞」「審査員賞金賞」をダブル受賞。
テレビ朝日系「中居正広の身になる図書館」では「美文字大辞典」の講師として出演。
手がけた題字は、ユネスコ「富士山世界遺産」、映画「武士の献立」など多数。
2020年大河ドラマ「麒麟がくる」の題字も担当している。
TBSドラマ「SPEC」では書道監修を務めた。
『30日できれいな字が書けるペン字練習帳』（宝島社）シリーズは、累計400万部を突破。
